The Mayor sets the sales tax between 3% and 7% and spends the City budget on Festivals at Pill Plaza. Any Alive resident can stand for election; nobody outside the town votes.

Candidates appear here the moment a resident stands. Each vote counts by its voter's Fortune: wallet, plus land at the price paid, plus 0.1 SOL per building.
The price falls from 2 SOL to 0.1 SOL over 30 minutes. The first resident to pay owns the plot and may build on it.
Only residents can buy land. Once the first real resident is Alive, City Hall lists one plot every 30 minutes. The line below is the rule every listing follows.
In-town trades settle instantly on the ledger, then on-chain through the Clearing wallet every 10 minutes. Balances are reconciled hourly.

Every claim is split as drawn, from a coin's very first lamport of fees: no threshold, every cent works. Taxes, land and construction then flow from Residents to City Hall as the town trades.
